# SAFEBOX Pattaya — signage production artwork (2026 brand)

Built 2026-08-22 against **RFP SAFEBOX-SIGN-RFP-2026-01 Rev. 7 (5 Aug 2026)**.

**Source of the designs.** Packages 1A, 1B and 8 follow
`pattaya-ops.pages.dev/signage-quote` → **SAFEBOX Full Signage Design Pack**
(`signage-design.html`, 8 Jul 2026). Its governing rule is carried through verbatim:

> Every customer-facing sign shows the Thai line **เซฟบ็อกซ์ เซลฟ์-สตอเรจ** as the
> TOPMOST element, above the SAFEBOX logo and all English. Thai tax is decided by
> position, so every brand sign is Category 2. No English-only versions.

Packages 2–7 follow the ORIGINAL SAFEBOX sign designs (the 28 Jul 2026 package and the
previews on `pattaya-ops.pages.dev/signage-quote`), recoloured to the 2026 brand and
rebuilt at production size. The layouts, icon language and copy are the approved ones —
what changed is the palette, the typeface, and the resolution.

The **2026 SafeBox Man** brand, per RFP Rev. 7:

## Production notes

- **All type is outlined.** No fonts are embedded and none can be substituted by
  the vendor's RIP. Nothing needs to be supplied to Smile except these PDFs.
- **Bleed** is included where it matters (banners 30 mm, plates 3 mm, SafeCube
  15 mm, stencils 20 mm). Trim size is in every filename; MediaBox = trim + bleed.
- **Thai is the topmost element** on every exterior panel — brand rule, and it
  keeps the directional signs out of Category-2 signboard tax.
- **QR codes** are vector, error-correction level H, pointing at the
  owner-confirmed targets: `gosafebox.com`, `wa.me/66632729438`,
  `line.me/R/ti/p/@142sntyl`.
- **Package 11** letters are supplied as constant-250 mm stroked centrelines.
  The vendor must union/outline them before cutting a stencil.

## Open questions — answer before releasing the 50% deposit

1. **Thai and Russian copy has not been reviewed by a native speaker.** All Thai and
   Russian here was written for this artwork. Have both read before anything is
   printed or etched.
2. **Package 1A is two different signs.** RFP Rev.7 wants 3600×1600 carrying
   SAFEBOX + SELF STORAGE + GoSafeBox.com + the Thai line. Smile signed for
   3200×510 — the SAFEBOX word only, at ฿32,500 against N-Sign's ฿58,120 for the
   larger sign. Confirm which the building elevation actually takes.
3. **Package 7 is still quoted unlit.** Rev.7 requires a front-lit box (80 mm,
   Meanwell-class driver). Smile's line 14 is flat ACM. Artwork works for either.
4. **Package 3 substrate.** Rev.7 says *black on white*; Smile quoted **ACM
   silver hairline with a printed sticker**. The artwork is black on white. A
   printed sticker on ACM in Pattaya sun carries no warranty under this quote —
   the 1-year warranty covers the electrical system only.
5. **Lines 1 and 4 are unexplained.** Smile quoted two **165×180 cm** PP boards.
   Rev.7 Package 2 has no such item. Two boards are drafted in `Pkg12-…` marked
   PROPOSED — confirm what these two panels are actually for before they are made.
   The RFP's own 40×60 info sign and 14.5×21 toilet sign are drawn at RFP size in
   Package 2.
8. **Poster sizes diverge from the RFP.** Rev.7 asks for Letter and Tabloid;
   Smile quoted A4 (line 12) and A3 (line 13). Both sets are supplied — tell the
   vendor which to print.
6. **Package 11 goes to the civil contractor, not Smile.** Although Rev.7 wrote
   the 12 painted aisle letters into the signage RFP, the work is being done by
   the road-marking contractor. The stencil templates here are the hand-off —
   they must be unioned/outlined before cutting.
7. **Package 10B** installs in Phase 3, not Phase 1 — do not send it with the
   first mobilisation.

## Where the design pack and the contract disagree

The design pack is dated 8 Jul 2026 and was drawn for River Stone. RFP Rev. 7
(5 Aug) and the Smile Sign quote (20 Aug) moved several sizes. **Artwork here is
built at the CONTRACTED size**, with the pack's layout:

**The pack was drawn in the old brand** (`#61993B`, logo `safebox-logo.png` at
1638 × 658). These files use the 2026 palette and the 2026 mark, per the brand
decision. The original mark is kept at `_brand/safebox-logo-ORIGINAL-1638x658.png`
if an old-brand set is ever wanted — say so and it is a one-line switch.

No `.ai`, `.eps`, `.psd`, `.indd` or `.sketch` files exist anywhere in iCloud-Projects,
Desktop, Downloads or Documents. `~/Desktop/_ARCHIVE-2026-08/SAFEBOX-PATTAYA/` is empty.

## Why the 2026 brand, on evidence

Rev E specifies **Ridley Grotesk** and green **#61993B**, and the lockup it embeds is a
**1548 × 1160 JPEG** — about 7 DPI at 5.85 m. The spec itself says *"Supply as VECTOR for
final print."* Ridley Grotesk is not installed on this machine and no vector lockup exists,
so an original-brand set cannot be produced here without the font licence or a vector
lockup from the original designer. The 2026 brand can: vector mark + Montserrat, fully
outlined. Reference copies kept at:

### These specifications now govern

**`COLOR-SPECIFICATION.txt`** confirms the palette in use here exactly — `#83BD21`,
`#357301`, `#040403`, `#D2D3D5`, `#DAAF63`, `#FFFFFF`.

**`FONT-SPECIFICATION.txt`** — Montserrat Black 900 display · **Medium 500** for
SELF STORAGE-style labels · **SemiBold 600** for GoSafeBox.com and subheads ·
Regular 400 body · Bold 700 emphasis. Montserrat Medium has been added to `_fonts/`
and Package 8 now follows this. **Packages 1–7 still use SemiBold 600 for
SELF STORAGE and Black 900 for GoSafeBox.com — not yet corrected.**

**`VECTOR-AND-SIGN-VENDOR-NOTICE.txt`** — the approved source is raster
(1254 × 1254). The 5016 px masters cover ~1.7 m at 75 ppi. For the monument,
routed letters or vinyl cutting **the vendor must redraw as true vector and return
a proof**, and must not redesign the POD, doors, mascot, keyhole or typography.
`08-Vector-AutoTraced/` provides true paths, auto-traced — proof at final size.

### Package 8 open issues, carried from the proposal README

1. **Size unresolved** — proposals 500 × 150, quote line 15 says 500 × 160, fence
   build-up may force 500 × 140. Confirm before fabrication.
2. The fence quote does not match the RFQ (no "precast" or 1.0/1.5 m fence in our spec).
3. **Wind load** — a 5 × 1.5 m solid banner is a 7.5 m² sail, ~9 kN·m into the posts.
   Do not hang on mesh without written post/footing capacity.
4. Angled bays (30–45° to traffic) would remove foreshortening — not yet mocked up.
5. Old vs new brand will not match on site; the Bang Tao pods are the old green.
